Saigon By Bike with Saigon Riders

What a way to spend my first day in Vietnam! Being on the back of a motorbike in Saigon is so exhilarating and kind of crazy when you realise just how many motorbikes, cars, buses, trucks and people are on the road. It all just seems to work  even with over 4 million motorbikes in the city alone. I like to think of it as controlled chaos and I felt completely safe.

We spent 2 hours riding around Saigon visiting the Notre Dame Cathedral, the Central Post Office, Chinatown and the 19th century Thien Hau temple. We explored several districts stopping in District 8 at the stilt houses along the Saigon River and District 7 which is filled with luxury apartments but surprisingly felt like a ghost town.
